30/03/2012 - Lottery officials are still waiting to find out how many winners there are from last nights Mega Millions prize in the US. The lottery jackpot is the biggest ever at $640 million (£400 million).
09/01/2012- A shock 200-1 winner today at Taunton left a few lucky punters over the moon. Lights of Broadway came in at 200-1, although odds of 1000-1 could be achieved on the betting exchanges. A retired army major, Pauline Nye placed a £10 each way bet on Lights of Broadway winning her £2,400.
02/01/2012- Adrian Lewis retains the PDC world darts champion title and collects a first prize cheque for £200,000.

21/12/2011- Aston Villa winger Marc Albrighton scored the premier league’s 20,000th goal in his side’s 2-1 deafeat to Arsenal on Wednesday night. Paddy Power were taking bets on the goalscorer and state that just one person predicted correctly. Not the biggest winner ever, they won £300 from a £2 stake with Albrighton at 150-1.

World number one Luke Donald has made history in the world of golf by officially topping both European and US tour money lists in the same season for the first time. Donald has won $6,683,214 on the US PGA tour this year and $5,323,400 on the European tour . Unsurprisingly, Donald has also won the awards for player of the year in each tour.
